CLEVELAND - Cleveland police are investigating after a 65-year-old man was found dead at Bohn Towers.
Police said they were called to the housing complex in the 1300 block of Superior Avenue around 2:20 p.m. Friday. When emergency crews arrived, the man was unresponsive and had signs of trauma.
The man has been identified as Robert Moncrief. His death has been ruled a homicide, by the Cuyahoga County Coroner's Office.
The cause of death was asphyxia by ligature strangulation and blunt force trauma to the head.
The building management told police they had been contacted to check on the man’s well-being. That’s when they found him and called police.
The Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit is handing the investigation. They ask anyone with information to contact them at 216-623-5464.
