6-year-old girl struck, killed in Cleveland Sunday

CLEVELAND - A six-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car in Cleveland over the weekend.

Police said the child was struck on the city’s east side near the intersection of East 106th Street and St. Clair Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday.

Paramedics rushed the girl to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children Hospital where she died from her injuries.

Police said the driver involved in the accident remained on scene following the accident.

It is not yet clear what, if any charges, will be filed.
