CLEVELAND - A Cleveland man wanted for murder was arrested on the city’s east side Wednesday morning.
U.S. Marshals said 23-year-old John Alexander was involved in a murder near East 151st Street and Glendale Avenue during March. Alexander was also wanted for attempted homicide, aggravated robbery and kidnapping from a robbery in August near East 79th Street and Kinsman Avenue.
The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force found Alexander staying at a house on Lincoln Avenue at about 10 a.m. on Wednesday. He surrendered without incident and was taken to the Cleveland Police Central Processing Unit.
“This individual was wanted for multiple acts of violence within our communities over a long period of time and we are thankful to now have him in custody. We are hopeful that this arrest will bring some peace to the victims and their families,” U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said in a news release.
