CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating a robbery and shooting that happened at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the area of East 116th Street and Benham Avenue.
The victim of the shooting, a 16 year old boy, was approached by a man on a BMX-style bicycle and robbed at gunpoint, police said.
The suspect, who was reportedly wearing a light colored shirt and black pants, goes by his street name "Fattie Mike”. Police said he shot the victim in his torso and his legs, before riding his bike eastbound on East 116th Street.
The victim was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he is being treated for his injuries.
