CLEVELAND - Burning River Roller Girls strapped on their skates for the fifth annual Black and Blue Bout. They put on this bout to help raise funds for a charity of their choice, this year it is for the Cleveland Animal Protective league.

Always willing to chip in to help the community, these roller gals get rough and tough with some physical skating. Yet their soft side shows through with helping out a charity of their choice.

The Burning River Roller Girls have been in existence for five years and every year hold a Black and Blue Bout. They do it without effort.

This year the Cleveland Animal Protective League was the recipient of the funds raised from the Black and Blue Bout. The A.P.L is truly grateful. The monies donated help to feed and care for the four legged friends.

This is the offseason for the Burning River Roller Girls. The sixth season kicks off in March of 2011. They skate at the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State.
