BROOKLYN, Ohio - American Greetings Corp. announced Monday morning that Ohio Gov. John Kasich will be at the company’s headquarters in northeast Ohio to make a special announcement.
The announcement is scheduled for 11 a.m., and signs point to American Greetings remaining in Ohio, which was an initiative of Kasich when he was first elected.
During Kasich’s visit to Cleveland last week, he hinted at the probability of American Greetings keeping its headquarters at the current Brooklyn location.
American Greetings employs about 2,000 people in northeast Ohio.
Along with Kasich, American Greetings executives, Department of Development Director Mark Kvamme and other legislative leaders will participate in the announcement.
