AKRON, Ohio - A 65-year-old woman is recovering in an Akron hospital after being stabbed during a possible home invasion at her home on Boulevard Street.
Akron police said just before 4 a.m. Tuesday, someone was able to get into the home and stab the woman in her chest while she was in bed. Her injuries are not life-threatening.
According to police the woman’s house was burglarized on Aug. 31. That’s when someone forced open the first-floor door, then took her purse and car keys. Police said the car was stolen and later recovered on East Market Street.
