CANTON, Ohio - Troopers with the Canton post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating after a driver crashed into a pole early Tuesday morning.
The accident happened around midnight along the 2700 block of Georgetown Road Northeast in Canton.
On scene, troopers located a motorist with minor injuries following a collision into a utility pole.
The impact was severe enough to sheer the pole in half, bringing wires down onto the vehicle.
Troopers tell NewsChannel 5 the driver suffered only minor injuries and blamed the accident on efforts to swerve to avoid striking a deer.
The accident remains under investigation.
