AKRON, Ohio - A suspect appears to have struck again, robbing two banks in as many days, Akron police say.
The First Merit Bank, located at 2430 Wedgewood Drive, was robbed just before 5 p.m. Wednesday. Police said bank employees reported the suspect entered and approached the teller counter, saying to the teller, “Give me all of your money and no dye pack.” The teller handed the suspect an unreported amount of cash and the suspect fled to an awaiting car, according to police.
Police said they have identified the suspect as 31-year-old Robert Campbell Jr., who is 5 feet 6 inches, 170 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes.
Campbell is also believed to be involved in the robbery of a Charter One Bank on Tuesday.
Anyone with information on Campbell's location is asked to contact the Akron Police Department, Detective Bureau at 330-375-2490.
