Police: Akron mother heartbroken after daughter's ashes stolen from home

AKRON, Ohio - Akron police are investigating a burglary where a child's ashes were taken from a home on Safer Place this week.
According to Akron police, a 28-year-old resident told officers that someone stole a plastic bag containing the ashes of her daughter who had passed away.
The mother said she is heartbroken and Akron police are asking anyone with information to contact police or simply give the ashes back. The have no monetary value, just personal, officers said.
