AKRON, Ohio - An Akron mother was arrested after escaping her home during a meth lab investigation, police say.
Camilla Brown, 33, of Akron, allegedly fled through a second floor window of her East South Street home during a meth lab investigation. Police said Brown left her two children behind in the home.
"She apparently jumped out of the second story window in the back of the house and took off. Several minutes later, when the officers were still there, she did come back and she was placed in handcuffs and taken into custody," explained Lt. Rick Edwards.
Edwards said it appears the meth lab belonged to renters in the basement.
Brown was charged with child endangering and obstructing official business.
