AKRON, Ohio - Clean-up crews and OSHA officials were at the home of an Akron woman, after a crane boom crashed into the second floor.
The homeowner, Tracy Brubaker, watched as crews and insurance adjusters worked at her home on South Pershing Avenue, near West Market.
On Tuesday, a crew was removing a 125-foot poplar tree from Brubaker's backyard, when a crane tipped and fell onto the home. She was just arriving home when the crane hit her house.
Brubaker told NewsChannel5 she is not only upset about the damage to her home, but the fact that her two beloved cats went missing when the crane hit the house.
It took roughly six hours for crews to stabilize the crane and remove it from the house, so they could begin working to cover the roof.
