CANTON, Ohio - A murder investigation is underway after a Canton man was found dead early Friday morning.
Canton police told NewsChannel 5 officers were called to a home along the 2100 block of Third Street Southeast around 12:50 a.m.
At the scene, they located a man dead on the floor inside.
Officers said the man was taken to Mercy Medical Center for stab wounds and was pronounced dead at 1:19 a.m.
Police said the victim is 34 years old but have not yet released his identity.
Police told NewsChannel5 foul play is suspected in the man's death.
An investigation is ongoing.
