AKRON, Ohio - Akron police are investigating a homicide that occurred just after 11 p.m. Sunday on Homer Avenue, which is just off of Copley Road.
Police said neighbors and officers, who were just a few blocks away, heard multiple gunshots. When officers responded, they found a man in the driver's seat of a running car. He had been shot multiple times.
The Summit County Coroner pronounced 28-year-old Kevin Marshall dead at the scene.
Officers marked several shell casings with evidence markers on the sidewalk near the car which had a couple windows shot out.
Neighbors told NewsChannel5 they saw people running from the area after the shots were fired.
Police do not have any suspects at this time.
