AKRON, Ohio - Akron police were called out to Church's Chicken located on Copley Road Friday afternoon after a mail carrier was attacked on his lunch break.
According to the employee at Church's Chicken who witnessed the event and called 911, the mail carrier entered the restaurant on his lunch break and witnessed a male arguing with an employee over a food order.
The employee moved on and took the mail carrier's order next. As the mail carrier walked out of the restaurant the suspect attacked the carrier from behind.
The mail carrier fell to ground and smacked his head hard on the pavement.
According to Akron police, one male was arrested and the male carrier was transported to a local hospital with head trauma in unknown condition.
Akron police arrived at the scene and are on scene at Church's Chicken located on Copley Road.
