MACEDONIA, Ohio - Fire crews had to cut a woman from a wrecked truck parked in a driveway, after the driver left the scene of the crash.
The crash happened on Summer Road in Macedonia just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
According to emergency crews on scene, the driver drove off the right side of Summer Road and struck a tree. He then continued to his home about 500 feet from the crash site.
Once at home, the driver parked his truck in the driveway and called 9-1-1 to report his passenger was injured, according to fire crews.
The Macedonia fire department had to cut the door from the truck to retrieve the injured female.
The woman, who endured multiple injuries including one to her head, was transported to a local hospital.
The driver was arrested at the scene.
The use of drugs or alcohol is unknown at this time.
