AKRON, Ohio - The finishing touches are being done to get the Firestone Country Club ready for the Bridgestone Invitational in Akron Tuesday.
Mulch is going down, signs are going up and a few golfers are getting in some early practice. Glenda Buchanan, the Volunteer Coordinator for the tournament said that the volunteers are what make this tournament happen. She said they do everything from marshaling on the course to greeting the many fans that come to watch the best golfers in the world.
Steve Mazziotta brought his son and his friend to the course to get a few autographs before the the competition begins.
Practice rounds start Wednesday and the first round begins on Thursday.
