AKRON, Ohio - If you haven't dined in downtown Akron lately, this week may be a good time to give it a try.
A dozen restaurants are participating in Downtown Akron Restaurant Week . It is a four day event that starts Monday and goes through Thursday, Sept. 13.
The restaurants will feature a special, reasonably fixed priced dinner menu.
Caleb Crandall, a manager at Bricco said, "It helps bring in people that haven't been to the restaurant before that may have the opportunity to come in and not spend as much that they might normally spend."
There are a lot of options,a quick meal like pizza or a deli sandwich or a relaxing meal that you can sit down and spend the evening with friends.
MaryJo Alexander and Connie Thackaberry enjoy all of the options, today they ate lunch at Bricco. Alexander said, "The game plan this week is to sample all of the best places."
This is the second year for the event that was developed by the Downtown Akron Partnership.
