AKRON, Ohio - Kids of all ages and their parents are invited to an indoor pizza party poolside Sunday, Dec. 9 to learn about how they can join the worldwide clean water movement.

The ClearBlue family water fun day takes place at the YMCA in Green beginning at 5:30 p.m. Aside from pizza and swimming in December, author Lydia Diaz will be there to sign her children's book, "Beyond Valley Ridge."

"Beyond Valley Ridge" sheds light on the clean water crisis that plagues thousands of communities, small and large, worldwide.

The story of David the deer uses challenging vocabulary and addresses difficult topics in order to spark a passion for reading and meaningful conversation between parents and their children.

The cost for the event is only $5 per family. For those interested in buying a copy of the book on site, Diaz will have copies. "Beyond Valley Ridge" costs $14.99 and can also be found on Amazon.

ClearBlue Global Water Project is a local non-profit that provides the gift of life-saving wells to desperately needy communities around the globe. The organization partnered with Diaz for Sunday's launch party.
