Bomb making material found inside Canton home, neighboring homes evacuated

CANTON, Ohio - Canton police, fire and the Summit County Bomb Squad have been called out to a home in the 900 block of Rowland Avenue.

According to Canton police, a neighbor called CPD's crisis center to report a home with broken windows and doors.

Officers arrived to the Rowland Avenue home around 1:45 p.m. where they found bomb making material.

Several neighboring homes have been evacuated.

The resident of the home is currently institutionalized at the Heartland Behavioral Center.
