CLEVELAND - Clevelanders can be rather sloppy when it comes to partying during the July 4 holiday. With fabulous weather and the big traditional fireworks show downtown, the day after shows just how much of a good time everyone had at the park.
Monday night's party and festival drew lots of people and lots of rubbish at Edgewater Lakefront State Park. Most folks tried to be courteous and clean up after themselves, but the park is still a little messy.
Don't worry though. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has been cleaning up the parks since 6:30 Tuesday morning and will continue to clean up the park and others over the next few days.
Al Schutzow, Cleveland Lakefront State Parks representative, said this "day after" is always a busy event for his staff. "As normal, we get a good crowd and there's normally not enough places to put all the trash it seems like. So we get a good crowd, we keep up as best we can. It's a little hard to when there's that many people."
