AKRON, Ohio - Akron police are investigating after a woman was found dead in her home.

Investigators found the body of 52-year-old Robin Bailey in her home on Patterson Avenue at about 5:10 p.m. Tuesday.

It appears that Bailey died of a gunshot wound, but the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy Wednesday to determine the exact circumstances of her death.

Authorities are looking for Bailey's boyfriend, John Pritchard, 52, who is wanted for questioning. Detectives said Pritchard may be driving Bailey's red, Toyota RAV4, license plate FCC 6138.

Akron police said Pritchard should be considered armed and dangerous.

Bailey's nephew told NewsChannel5's Dan Haggerty the two broke up, but Pritchard refused to leave and was living in the basement of Bailey's house. Family members also said the two had an eviction hearing scheduled for Oct. 20.

"She was a wonderful person who touched a lot of lives. Robin had such a passion for animals," said Dan Soulsby, her nephew. He said his aunt would donate her money and time to the local humane society.

Funeral arrangements are pending. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron "In Memory of Robin Bailey." Checks or cash can be sent to the Humane Society: 7996 Darrow Rd. Unit 30, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087. For questions, you can contact HSGA at (330) 487-0333.
