AKRON, Ohio - A suspect wanted on a felony warrant surrendered to authorities Saturday night after barricading himself inside a residence with children for 2 hours.
Akron Police Lt. Rick Edwards said officers were serving a felony warrant to David Blair, 40, around 6 p.m. near Brittain Road and Seiberling Street, when Blair refused to come outside.
Edwards said Blair barricaded himself inside a home with three children inside.
The SWAT team was called in. Blair eventually surrendered peacefully to authorities 2 hours later.
The children were not hurt.
Police took Blair in to custody. His charges have not yet been released.
No other details are being released at this time and the matter remains under investigation.
