AKRON, Ohio - Police are looking for suspects after unrelated home invasions that both took place early Wednesday morning in Akron.
They said the first took place in the 500 block of Brown Street just before 2 a.m. A 32-year-old man reported that three men and a woman entered his apartment and robbed him at gunpoint of $80.00 in cash, blue and white Jordan shoes, a DS notepad and a cell phone, according to police. They also said the man was struck in the face with the butt of the gun.
The suspects were only described as three black men and one black woman.
A second robbery happened shortly after 2 on that same morning in the 900 block of Barbara Avenue when residents reported a suspect armed with a handgun knocked at the door. The residents opened the door and the man entered the apartment, robbing them of their cell phones and wallets, according to police. No one was injured in the incident.
Police said the suspect is a black man, 20 - 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches – 5 feet 10 inches,165 - 170 lbs., wearing a mask, tan pants and tan coat.
