Akron police investigate West Mildred Street shooting

AKRON, Ohio - Akron police are currently investigating a shooting in the 100 block of West Mildred Street.

According to Akron Police Lt. Rick Edwards, officers were called out to a home on the city's west side around 11:13 a.m. Thursday for shots fired.

Officers arrived to the scene and found a man with a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to a local hospital where his condition is unknown.
