AKRON, Ohio - LeBron James is back in his hometown of Akron where he's being honored by the mayor at an Akron Aeros game.
Mayor Don Plusquellic will pay tribute to James during the Akron Aeros minor league baseball game Sunday afternoon.
James came home to Akron with a gold medal from the Olympics and his first NBA title that he won with the Miami Heat.
After the game, James is meeting with about 500 children and their families to start the new school year for the James Family Foundation's Wheels for Education program.
The program aims to help third-graders succeed in school.
The foundation in the past has donated computers for students to use in class and after school programs.
