AKRON, Ohio - Akron police are looking for two suspects after a 49-year-old man was shot in the arm during a robbery early Thursday morning.
Edward Dowdell was shot while walking near the intersection of Copley Road and Ritchie Avenue, according to a release from police.
Police said Dowdell was walking down the street when a car pulled up next to him and two men got out of the car to approach him. The two men demanded money, but Dowdell said he did not have any.
One of the men then shot Dowdell in the arm, and the two men got in the car and left the scene. Dowdell ran into a house and called police.
Police are investigating the incident and have not named any suspects.
