CLEVELAND - An Akron bar is now under investigation for allegedly serving alcohol to a high school student before she wrecked her car.

State troopers said they have evidence that Macy Mruk,18, was served alcohol at The Dorm, a bar in Akron's Merriman Valley.

Investigators said the teen was driving home from the bar drunk, when she crashed her car into a tree and flipped it in Bath Township early Thursday morning.

Macy, who is a senior at Revere High School, suffered serious injuries.

"Macy is out of the ICU and walking with a walker," her mom Diana told NewsChannel5 on Tuesday. "She's in a lot of pain and still has several broken bones."

Charges are pending against Macy, including OVI and underage consumption.

As for The Dorm, the Ohio Investigative Unit will determine whether the bar will be fined or if charges will be filed.

John Campbell, the agent in charge of the unit in Akron, said investigations can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.

Campbell said if it's proven that The Dorm broke the law, prosecutors could pursue criminal charges and the bar could have its liquor license revoked.
