18-year-old Amber Hall of Magnolia lost control of her blue, 1995 Chevrolet Lumina and slid across the center line directly into the path of a southbound tan, 2002 Pontiac Bonneville driven by 45-year-old Melissa Haney of East Sparta.
Hall's car was struck on the passenger side and pushed off the west side of the roadway.
Hall was transported from the scene by the Canton Township Fire Department to Aultman Hospital with serious injuries where she remains at this time.
Haney was transported by the Canton Fire Department to Aultman Hospital for evaluation of non-life threatening injuries.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this crash.
It is unknown if Hall was wearing her safety belt, but Haney's safety belt was in use when the crash occurred.
The crash remains under investigation.
