AKRON, Ohio - A driver crashed into The Sanctuary church on 13th Street NW in Akron just after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday then ran from the car, leaving an injured passenger in the front passenger seat.
The woman passenger was taken to a local hospital, according to Akron firefighters. Her injuries were described as minor.
According to neighbors, the driver was northbound on 13th Street NW when they jumped a curb and became airborne before crashing into the front corner of the church.
The driver has not been located.
