AKRON, Ohio - A 75-year-old Akron man faces charges of child enticement and carrying a concealed weapon following a traffic stop.
Police said when they pulled Thomas Plell, 75, over for reckless driving they found he had a warrant out for his arrest connected to a child enticement incident.
Reportedly, Plell tried enticing a misbehaving 5-year-old child inside a store in the 500 block of E. Waterloo Road. The mother of the girl, along with other witnesses, said Plell tried twice enticing her daughter to come with him using pocket change at the lure.
A search of Plell's car turned up a loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol, plus Barbie dolls, porcelain figurines and women's clothing.
