AKRON, Ohio - A 70-year-old man is dead after flipping his truck and trailer that was carrying a replica war cannon.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. in the 4000 block of Manchester Road in Akron.
Inspector Bill Holland, with the Summit County Sherriff's Office, said it's not clear why the driver veered off the side of the road, flipping his Dodge pick-up truck.
On his trailer was a replica war cannon which prompted the bomb squad to come out to the scene. Seven black powder charges with the cannon were safely removed.
The driver died at the scene, according to Holland. The man's name won't been released until his family has been notified.
The wreck remains under investigation.
