CANTON, Ohio - Canton police are investigating two separate shootings that sent four people to local hospitals early Thursday morning.
Canton police tell NewsChannel5 around 12:20 a.m. a man dressed as a woman was shot in the leg along 6th Street Northeast near Schwalm Avenue Northeast.
According to police, the victim was taken to the hospital.
About an hour later, three more people were shot in the area of 15th Street Northeast and St. Elmo Avenue Northeast just before 1:30 a.m. That's less than two miles away from the first shooting location.
Paramedics rushed two gunshot wound victims to Aultman Hospital and a third victim to Mercy Medical Center.
All of the shooting victims' injuries were non-life threatening.
Police are trying to determine if the shootings are related. An officer did tell NewsChannel5 a dark SUV was spotted at both locations.
No arrests have been made. Police are interviewing the shooting victims.
Canton police said the public shouldn't be concerned anymore than normal. They don't want people to panic.
