ALLIANCE, Ohio - A 14-year-old girl from Akron who was reported missing by her mother Wednesday has been found safe in Alliance.
Authorities found Lauren Spring, 14, around 3:35 p.m. Thursday at a home on Lilly Road, near Parkway Blvd.
Spring's mother, Carlann, posted this message on her Facebook page:
"I want to thank every single person for their prayers, support and help through this most difficult time in my life! I have received an overwhelming response and am truly grateful for all of my family, friends, and even strangers for everything you have done! I am very blessed by the grace of God to say that Lauren has been found by the Alliance police and is safe!!!! I am here at the station waiting to take her home!!!! Again, a million thanks to all!!!! I love you and can't begin to thank you enough!!!!!"
The girl's mom reported her missing Wednesday after she didn't show up for class at Firestone High School.
Circumstances surrounding Spring's disappearance were not released.
