AKRON, Ohio - The Akron Police Department is asking for help in locating a fugitive suspect in a triple shooting on Romig Road at the Al C Sanders Bar, also known as the Embassy Lounge Bar and Grille, that left one person dead and two others wounded.

Dontay Taylor, 22, who last lived on Eva Avenue in Akron, is wanted in the murder and felonious assault that happened Monday night.

The three victims inside the Embassy Lounge were shot when Taylor was refused entry into the lounge and then began shooting through the front windows, according to police.

Tre Smith, the manager of the bar, said it was his brother who was shot and killed. The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Rahsaan Price, 38, of Akron. Smith said Price worked at the bar.

Bruce Thomas was at the bar during the shooting. He said he took off his shirt and tried to apply pressure to Price's gunshot wound but Price had died by the time EMS crews arrived. Price was pronounced dead at 11:49 p.m., officers said.

Lamar Fitzgerald, 28, and Deanna May, 25, also suffered single gunshot wounds. They were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Dontay Taylor is described as a black mail, 5’09” and 145 pounds. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

According to an employee of the bar, nothing like this has ever happened before. The employee said that when the shooting started, the people inside the bar were running in all directions trying to avoid being shot.

Shell casings were marked by evidence markers along the sidewalk outside the bar and the windows had multiple bullet holes in them.

Akron police spent most of the night reconstructing the scene taking photographs and interviewing those who witnessed the shooting.

"I can't believe it. It still hasn't hit me yet," said Deborah Price, Rahsaan's mother. "You expect to outlive your child. There's too much dying going on in our community. I think so many people are living in fear because of threats. It needs to stop. I want them (shooter) to rot in jail. Rot in jail."

Anyone knowing Taylor's whereabouts is asked to call the Akron Police Department Detective Bureau at (330) 373-2490, the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-866-WANTED or the Summit County Crimestoppers at (330) 434-COPS.
