Accident claims life of cyclist in North Royalton

NORTH ROYALTON, Oh -

The North Royalton Police Department  is asking for the public's help investigating a fatal bicycle accident.

According to police, the accident happened around 7 p.m. Friday at State Road and Oakridge Drive. Officers responded to the scene and located a male cyclist with severe injuries to his head.

The male was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center where he later died.

Witnesses reported seeing a black Chevy turning onto Oakridge Drive from State Road. It's unknown if the vehicle is connected to the incident.

The North Royalton Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact them immediately at 440.237.8686.
