LAKESIDE PARK, Ky. - Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon for the father and son from Walton, Ky., who were among seven people shot and killed during a shooting rampage in Copley Township on Sunday.

The memorial service forĀ 51-year-old Craig Dieter and his 11-year-old son, Scott will be held at 4 p.m. at the Lakeside Presbyterian Church on Dixie Highway in Lakeside Park.

They were killed during a visit to the Akron suburb of Copley Township when a family argument over an unexpected guest escalated into a shooting spree.

Neighbors say the gunman, Michael Hance, sought out Scott Dieter, who was hiding in a darkened room, to kill him.

Investigators now say they've found evidence that Hance was facing financial challenges before the shooting rampage. They have found letters about debt renegotiations and a debt settlement among Hance's belongings.

On Thursday night, Scott's classmates held a private 'moment of silence' for him outside their school. Those classmates and other friends are running a lemonade stand to start raising the $1,000 they estimate they'll need to create a memorial to Scott and his father and help their family pay for funeral expenses.
