GREEN, Ohio - The parents of a five-year-old left on a school bus after he fell asleep want to see more buses, more routes, and better training for bus drivers in the Green School District.
Preston McElroy was on the way home from his second day of kindergarten Tuesday when he dozed off. His parents say the bus driver never drove down their street to drop him off. They didn't know where he was until they got a call to pick him up at the school bus garage.
"It's negligence," the boy's father Mark McElroy said. "Severe negligence. Someone needs to be held accountable."
newsnet5 was unable to reach school superintendent Mike Nutter Wednesday night for comment.
