BROOKLYN, Ohio - It has been several months since the company that owns Hugo Boss made the big announcement the Brooklyn plant would close come April.
More than 400 workers stand to lose their jobs.
Almost immediately after the announcement, the protests started and still haven't stopped. In fact, the fight to keep the doors open and save jobs has recently taken the national stage.
On Sunday night, actor Danny Glover asked fellow actors to not wear Hugo Boss suits to the Oscars. He even wore a pin on his own suit that said "Keep the Hugo Boss plant open."
On Monday Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) toured the plant and spent time talking to workers who fear losing their jobs, their homes and their futures. Kucinich vowed he has a plan to help that includes not only Hollywood actors, but President Barack Obama as well.
While no one knows if the company will change their mind, workers still plan on fighting until the deadline which is April 27.
In a statement released Friday, Hugo Boss said that their decision to close the plant stands, citing that the "facility is not globally competitive."
