CONCORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Lake Health is proud of its short emergency room wait times and the hospital operator is now taking to Twitter to publicize its quick service.

Since Aug. 2, followers on the social networking site can get updates from Lake Health regarding emergency room wait times at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township and West Medical Center in Willoughby on @LakeHealth .

The updates are sent out every other hour -- more frequently if warranted by dramatic changes in wait times, according to Lake Health Vice President of Nursing Andrea Wasdonovich.

"We've done such a good job to decrease our wait times that we're proud of it and we want to tell our partners in the community and all over," said Wasdonovich.

Lake Health said wait times average less than 15 minutes between 8 a.m and 8 p.m.

NewsChannel5 was told the busiest time for emergency rooms is around nightfall -- after doctors hours and with long overnight hours looming.
