CLEVELAND - A new study shows the level of trans fats in Americans' blood is declining. That's according to an article in USA Today.
The paper reports it was a dramatic drop of 58-percent, from 2000 to 2009.
Trans fats are often used in fried and pre-packaged foods, and are linked to high cholesterol, obesity and heart disease.
The lead author of the study says the drop in trans fat levels "should lower the risk of cardiovascular disease in the US."
