Fourteen arrested after police break up riot UMass-Amherst campus after Patriots lose Super Bowl

BOSTON - The New York Giants beat the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, but not everyone took the news well.
Fourteen people are behind bars this morning after police in riot gear had to clear a crowd at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Hundreds of students stormed the campus last night just minutes after the Super Bowl ended. Police on foot and on horseback threw flash bombs to break up the mob. Videos posted to YouTube show a smoky scene with blasts echoing among the crowd.
Similar disturbances have broken out in the past at Amherst, but police say they were ready for this one.
The arrested students could be suspended after going before a conduct review board.
