CLEVELAND - A first-in-the-nation Facing History-New Tech High School will open in Cleveland this fall. It is first-in-the-nation because it will have a social justice component that other New Tech High Schools don't have.
Students will focus on civic responsibility, tolerance and social action in a project-based learning environment. Cleveland schools CEO Eric Gordon said the new school will start out with just ninth graders in the first year.

The new school will be located on the west side on the third floor of the Charles Mooney building on Montclair Avenue.
