CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Metropolitan School Board has voted to extend their leader's contract another three years.
Eric Gordon, the first-year CMSD chief, will continue to lead the district through June 2015, following a board vote on Tuesday.
Under the new contract, Gordon will take a small pay cut, making $227,700 annually.
Gordon and Mayor Frank Jackson have been working closely for months on a blueprint for improving Cleveland's public schools. The plan cleared the state Legislature last week and is waiting for Gov. John Kasich's signature.
