CLEVELAND - Resolutions up for discussion by the Cleveland School Board Tuesday night would pave the way for the sale of the administration building, as well as the Woodland Data Center and the Barbara Byrd Bennett Professional Center.
In an effort to cut costs, the district plans to consolidate services into a central Operations and Professional Center at another facility and will relocate the balance of the administration to a downtown location.
Before the district can dispose of a building, it must first be offered for a land exchange with the city. If the city isn't interested in a land exchange, it must then be offered for sale to the governing authorities of start-up community schools.
If no community school accepts the offer within 60 days, the board can proceed with the sale of the property.
So far the resolutions are only being discussed. No vote was taken.
