CLEVELAND - A Cleveland-area college is the top-ranked school in Ohio, according to Washington Monthly magazine’s annual college guide.
The rankings put in order the country’s institutions of higher learning based on their “contribution to the public good."
Case Western Reserve University ranked fourth with an overall score of 93 out of 100. Ohio State University ranked 28th.
In northeast Ohio, Kent State University was 206th, the University of Akron was 237th and Cleveland State University was 253rd.
University of California-San Diego ranks number one on this year's national list for the fourth consecutive year.
