Potential Evidence To Be Tested In Prade Case

Summit County prosecutors will take a closer look at possible new evidence in the murder of Akron Dr. Margo Prade. <P> <IMG SRC="/Images/Screengrabs/pradeappeal.jpg" ALIGN="LEFT" HEIGHT="141" WIDTH="200" ALT="Prade" BORDER="0" HSPACE="10" VSPACE="5"> According to NewsChannel5, prosecutors will test a bloody T-shirt found in the motor home owned by former police Capt. Douglas Prade. It will be sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation. <P> Prade was convicted Nov. 26, 1997, of killing his ex-wife. <P> Margo Prade was shot six times with a .38-caliber pistol and found dead inside her van in the parking lot behind her Akron medical office. <P> The sister of the victim, Veronica Sadler, found the shirt and other items in August when she cleaned out a motor home parked at Prade's former home. <P> Sadler also found .38-caliber bullets, a bullet clip, a handgun stock and a pair of men's underwear. <P> Last year, the prosecutor told the victim's family that the case was still open but said the shirt had no evidence value. <P> According to court documents, Akron police detectives searched the motor home twice before and found nothing, The Associated Press reports. <P> Prade has an appeal pending before the 9th District Court of Appeals for Ohio.
