CLEVELAND -
Looking for a way to make Valentine's Day extra special without winding up with an empty wallet? Joe Daugirdas, otherwise known as Joe the Coupon Guy, has some ideas for you.

Going to catch a flick?  Some local theaters have great deals on movies.  The best deals are at second run theaters.  For instance, Phoenix Theaters runs one in Willoughby Hills and charges $1.50 to $2 per ticket depending on the day of the week.

Atlas Theaters are offering matinee pricing all day on Valentine's Day at the Great Lakes location, then donating a dollar with every ticket purchase to the United Way.

Plus, go to WELW.com and you'll find a BOGO deal for the Wing Warehouse and with it you'll receive a 2-for-1 ticket for Atlas Theaters.  You can also find similar deals for Perkins and Beach Club Bistro.

Cinemark has $5.25 tickets for early bird matinee seatings, and most theaters offer senor, student, and military discounts.

For more movie deals you can purchase discounted tickets through AAA, the Entertainment book, or Our Town and All Around coupon book.

Some theaters offer perks for buying food, and most have combo deals.  Atlas Theaters offer a free movie ticket after 5 popcorn purchases.  A card is punched with every purchase.

Regal offers $2 candy on Mondays, $2 popcorn on Tuesdays, and at participating theaters they have $5 tickets on Tuesdays.

Cleveland Cinemas offers $5 tickets and $1 drink and candy specials on Mondays.  They give free popcorn on Tuesdays with each ticket purchased.  Their Cedar Lee, Capital and Shaker Square Theaters offer a half priced wine and beer happy hour on Wednesdays from 4 to 8 PM.

What about flowers for your sweetie? Joe says these are some of the best deals for a dozen roses.
Heinen's - $19.99
Buehler's - $19.99
Marc's - $14.99
Aldi - $9.99

Also, check dollar stores for limited availability.  They are expected to charge, yes, $1 per rose.

FTD and others have great deals, even some arrangements for $19.99, but add $15 to $20 for shipping and handling.

There are also ways to save on your Valentine's Day dinner.
Find discounted restaurant gift certificates at jbdollar.com, restaurant.comclevelandindependents.comgroupon.com , and livingsocial.com.
Use codes found on  joethecouponguy.com to get 50% to 90% off already discounted gift certificates on restaurant.com .

Plus, Giant Eagle has 20 cent Fuelperks on their restaurant gift cards through Feb 15th, so you can buy a gift card there to pay for dinner and get the perks.

For happy hour deals check out gotime.com.

For a free cookie on Valentine's Day click on the link for a coupon to get one at Quizno's.
