Ever since the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., guns and ammunition have been flying off store shelves. Even more so since President Barack Obama is asking Congress to pass stricter gun control laws.
Because of the run on guns and ammo, Walmart is now having its stores ration some sales.
A company spokeswoman says supplies are limited, so customers are only allowed to buy three boxes of ammunition a day.
Walmart is working with suppliers to get more ammunition in its stores to meet the increase in demand.
According to the FBI, background checks for gun sales reached their highest levels in 15 years over the past six weeks.
