TWINSBURG, Ohio - Regency Windows has been providing quality products to northeast Ohio homeowners since 1971. It's also issued home energy audits to hundreds of house through its Home Energy MD subsidiary.

But earlier this month the situation quickly changed at Regency's Twinsburg headquarters, causing consumers to call the 5 On You Side Troubleshooter Unit. Customers complained that appointments were not being kept, and numerous calls were no being returned.

Lueatta Arotin reports she paid more than $1,000 for a glass sliding door several weeks ago. She said Regency Windows was scheduled to make the installation on Martin Luther King Day, but workers never showed up.

"I think it's disgusting somebody would do that," Arotin said. "What they did was just wrong. They just think of themselves."

NewsChannel5 was able to reach attorney Roger Stewart.  Stewart is representing Regency's former president, and told 5 On Your Side the company is in the process of being sold.

"I believe that in the end all customers will be taken care of, as soon as the bank in this case finds a buyer for the company," said Stewart.

NewsChannel5 confirmed the company was going through financial difficulties throughout 2011.

5 On Your Side will continue to follow-up on this developing story .
